When this applies

  • Every ceremony runs on schedule and nobody can say what they produced
  • The train has come off its planning cadence and nobody agrees on what restarting requires
  • Teams kept executing independently, so the problem is re-convergence rather than a cold start
  • Coordination has drifted into several overlapping meetings covering the same ground

How it runs

Five phases. The order matters more than the labels: nothing gets relaunched before the diagnostic says it is ready.

Diagnostic

Working sessions and 1:1s with every Scrum Master on the train, ending in prioritized findings, a go/no-go readiness checklist, and a quantified PI baseline. No relaunch date is committed before this exists.

Design

A finding-by-finding response rather than a template. Coordination meetings get consolidated where they overlap, a planning retrospective gets added, and what already works stays exactly as it is.

Relaunch

PI planning run against the design, with the Scrum Masters and Product Owners leading their own parts of it. My job in the room is the seams between teams, not the work inside them.

Cadence

A risk and dependency mechanism your tooling already supports, built with your leads so it survives me leaving. Risk-to-objective linking, a ROAM-complete workflow, and reporting the portfolio can actually consume.

Handoff

Coaching for the Scrum Masters, the interim RTE, and the process leads who keep this running. The measure of the engagement is what still holds three months after it ends.

A risk and dependency mechanism built in the tooling you already have, with your leads, so it outlives the engagement. None of it depends on me still being there.

This work is done alongside the Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and process leads already in place. They know the organization better than I will in the time I have. My job is the coordination between teams, not the work inside them.
